The Philadelphia Fancy Brigade Association is one of the four division within the Philadelphia Mummers Parade, which is held each year on January 1st, through the streets of downtown Philadelphia. The Fancy Brigades are unique in which they not only participate in the parade, but also conduct two indoor shows at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This unique venue provides the fans of the Fancy Brigades the opportunity to witness the unique colorful pageantry which makes this division stand out amongst the crowd. The South Philly Vikings NYB, entered the 2006 parade as the defending champs and started out the New Year still holding the Dan Lero Cup, the official trophy of the first prize Fancy Brigade Division winner. With a very powerful Indian theme that had the house rocking, and the judging awarding them first prize.
