There is no greater honor than to be recognized by your peers, for your dedicated contributions to the betterment of the art of mummery. This is what the Fancy Brigade Hall of Fame and Veterans Hall of Fame accomplishes. The individuals in the prestigious group have been recognized as the founders and leading contributors to the Fancy Brigades success, and have been instrumental in keeping this great Philadelphia tradition alive.
The Hall of Fame - Annually each active brigade may nominate one individual for the Hall of Fame. This individual must be at least 40 years of age and been a member of a Fancy Brigade for 20 years with 1/2 of the those years after the age of 18. Voting for the Hall of Fame takes place in November, with each active brigade having one vote. Only one individual may be inducted into the Hall of Fame each year.
The Veterans Hall of Fame - On every odd year, the Fancy Brigade Association will accept nominations of two individuals for induction in to the Veterans Hall of Fame, from each active Fancy Brigade. The voting for this Hall of Fame is completed at the brigade level and not at the association level. This allows each organization the ability to recognize individuals from their own organization for their contributions to the Fancy Brigades success. To be eligible the individual must be 50 years of age and paraded with the Fancy Brigade division for at least 20 years.
