The Buddy Walk(r) was established in 1995 by the National Down Syndrome Society to celebrate Down syndrome Awareness Month in October and to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. Click for more info.
Tour of PA Cycling Race Benefit Reception
The Fancy Brigades strutted for 10 US teams and riders from 8 Countries who participated in the �Tour of PA Cycling Race Benefit Reception� hosted by the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House at Front Street and Erie Avenue on June 23, 2008, who is the named charity for the event.
The �Philadelphia Mummers Brigade Association� announces their full support and partnership with the Alex�s Lemonade Stand Foundations Mission
- Raising money and awareness for pediatric cancer causes, primarily research into new cures and treatments.
- Encouraging and educating others, especially children, to raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for childhood cancer.

Each year the Philadelphia Fancy Brigade Association, in conjunction with the Philadelphia Police Department conducts free finger printing for children.
A representative from the Police Department fingerprints each child and a copy is given to the parents for their records. The Police Officer also shows a video and discusses playground safety and interaction with strangers.
The event, held at the Philadelphia Mummers Museum on the same night of the Association position pick for the upcoming parade on New Year's Day, is always well attended by children from surrounding schools and Association family members

The Philadelphia Mummers Brigade Association marches in one of Philadelphia�s oldest parades, The �Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade� (November 22, 2007). Many believe it�s the first time that the Fancy Brigades participated in this great event, kicking of the Holiday Season, which also includes New Years Day, they day the Philadelphia Mummers take to Broad Street for their annual Strut. This day was a little different, since no competition was involved just plain old fun and the Fancy Brigades did just that, pleasing the crowds with color and pageantry, and yes the famous Mummers Strut.

Since 1995 on the 2nd weekend in June the Mummers Fancy Brigade Association invades the beautiful summer island resort of North Wildwood, New Jersey
